About access codes
Access codes are how EVIDENT controls visibility into Exclusive and Private assets. When you receive one by email, it's an invitation to view a specific asset that isn't available on the open market.
Why each code is unique to a single user
Every access code is tied to one investor account. There are two reasons for this:
- Audit trail — we and the deal sponsor need to know who has been granted access to specific deals, for compliance and reporting
- Targeted invitation — Exclusive and Private assets are typically restricted to investors who meet specific criteria (jurisdiction, relationship, accredited status). Issuing a unique code lets us control who sees what
Don't share your access code
Even with another EVIDENT investor, sharing your code defeats the audit trail and may violate the terms under which you received access. If a colleague or co-investor should have access, they need to be invited separately so EVIDENT issues them their own code.
