When you deposit funds in any supported currency, your cash balance is credited in USDE — EVIDENT's on-chain platform credit — equal to the verified paid-in amount.
USDE is a platform credit that reflects your fiat balance one-for-one, recorded on-chain on the Polygon network. It's not a separate currency, a stablecoin, or a tradeable asset — it's the on-chain unit EVIDENT uses to record what's in your account, giving you a verifiable view of your balance.
USDE acts as the universal settlement balance across the platform. Every commitment, subscription, redemption, distribution, and trade is denominated in USDE under the hood, which keeps the accounting consistent and lets you move freely between currencies and assets without conversion friction at every step.
You can use your USDE balance directly for any investment action, or convert it to another currency on the platform using the Swap function on the Currencies page.
The conversion to USDE is done at the point of crediting. You'll see your wallet balance in USDE, with the original deposit reference visible in your transaction history.
