What documents do I need to open an Individual account?

Documents required

To open an Individual account, you'll need to provide three things:

1. Valid government-issued ID

A passport, national ID card, or driver's licence.

2. Proof of address

A utility bill, bank statement, or tenancy agreement — dated no more than three months ago.

3. Professional Investor confirmation

Evidence of a portfolio of HKD 8 million or equivalent (excluding real estate). Accepted forms include:

• Statement of account or portfolio from your bank or broker
• Confirmation of public filing
• Confirmation letter from a CPA evidencing your cash holdings and investment portfolios

You'll upload these during the verification flow on the platform. If any document is rejected, you'll receive an email letting you know the reason so you can resubmit.
