How do I set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Setting up 2FA on EVIDENT takes a couple of minutes and uses a standard authenticator app. You'll do this during the Complete tier of onboarding.

Step-by-step

1. From the 2FA setup page on EVIDENT, you'll see a QR code and a setup key
2. Open your preferred authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy)
3. Tap the app's option to add a new account, then scan the QR code (or enter the setup key manually)
4. The app will now show a 6-digit code that rotates every 30 seconds for your EVIDENT account
5. Back on EVIDENT, enter the current 6-digit code to verify the link
6. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe — you'll need them if you lose access to your authenticator app

If you change phones

If you change devices and lose access to your authenticator, use your recovery codes to regain access — or contact support@evident.capital.
