Can I change or cancel an IOI?

Updating or cancelling an IOI

Since an IOI is non-binding, you can update or cancel it at any time — even after the deal has moved from IOI status to Open for Commitment.

How to update

1. Open your Transaction History
2. Find the IOI in the list (distinguished from Active Investments and Firm Commitments)
3. Click Edit
4. Update your indicated amount
5. Confirm

The update is reflected immediately in your IOI history and in EVIDENT's view of demand for the deal.

How to cancel

From the same Transaction History view, click Cancel on the IOI and confirm. The IOI is removed and demand metrics adjust accordingly.

What happens to an IOI if you firm-commit

If you do go on to make a firm commitment for the asset, your IOI is replaced by the Commitment in your transaction view — the IOI doesn't stay alongside the firm commitment as a separate record.
