When your commitment is accepted, your funds aren't immediately invested in the underlying asset — they move to a dedicated escrow wallet for the deal. The escrow holds your funds safely until the deal is ready for final allotment.
At allotment, escrowed funds are converted into units of the asset, and your holding shows up in your portfolio. If your final allocation is smaller than your commitment, the unused portion is returned to your wallet from escrow at the same time.
You can see escrowed amounts in your Transaction History under the relevant commitment record. The funds are dedicated to that deal and aren't available for other uses while in escrow.
