Why no downloads
Data Room documents are view-only, regardless of your access tier. Download functionality is programmatically disabled in our secure in-browser viewer.
Why we do this
This is a deliberate security measure. Many of the documents in the Data Room contain sensitive deal terms, confidential information about the underlying asset or counterparty, or other material that needs to stay tightly controlled. Allowing downloads would significantly increase the risk of accidental leaks or unauthorised redistribution.
How to view documents
You can read documents directly in the in-browser viewer for as long as you have access. Zoom and navigation tools are built into the viewer. Documents stay accessible while your tier-level access to the asset is valid.
What if I need a copy
If you have a legitimate need for a copy of a specific document (for example, to share with your accountant or legal advisor), contact compliance@evident.capital and we'll handle it through a secure approval process.
