How secondary trading works

The EVIDENT secondary market lets you buy or sell units of an asset peer-to-peer with other investors on the platform. Trading happens at market-determined prices, not at the fund's NAV.

How to place an order

1. Open the asset page for the asset you want to trade
2. Click Trade
3. Choose Buy or Sell
4. Enter your price and quantity
5. Submit the order

How orders are matched

Your order sits on the order book until matched. When a counterparty's order matches yours on price and size, the trade executes — units transfer between accounts, cash moves accordingly, and both parties receive a confirmation.

Settlement

Trades settle on-platform. You'll see the position update in your portfolio after execution. A Certificate of Transfer is generated for your records and filed in My Documents.
