Because EVIDENT operates under Hong Kong SFC regulation, we can only serve Professional Investors as defined by that framework. During onboarding, you'll be asked to self-declare that you meet the Professional Investor criteria.

Thresholds

• Individual: portfolio of HKD 8 million or equivalent, excluding real estate
• Corporate: portfolio of US$1.1 million or equivalent, or qualification as an Institutional Professional Investor

Supporting evidence

The self-declaration is paired with documentary evidence — a statement of account or portfolio from your bank or broker, a confirmation of public filing, or a CPA confirmation letter. Our compliance team reviews the documents before your verification is approved.

This is a regulatory requirement, not an internal preference — it determines who can invest on EVIDENT.
