If your wealth documents are rejected
If our compliance team can't accept your Professional Investor evidence, you'll receive an email explaining the reason. Your account flow will return to the wealth documentation step so you can resubmit.
Common reasons
- Document is too old or out of date
- Document doesn't clearly evidence the required portfolio threshold (HKD 8M+ for individuals, US$1.1M+ for corporates)
- Document is in a format we can't accept, or is unreadable
- The document is for real estate — which is excluded from the Professional Investor threshold calculation
What to do next
- Read the email carefully to understand the specific issue
- Prepare an updated or alternative document
- Return to your account and upload the new file
You can use any of three forms of evidence: a statement of account or portfolio from your bank or broker, a confirmation of public filing, or a CPA confirmation letter. If you're unsure what would work for your situation, contact compliance@evident.capital.
